Thanks to the success of the previous concert, I'm very happy to have a chance to organize another event, and to introduce you The Ansonia Trio. Please come and enjoy this amazing trio for a wonderful time with great music, and meet with the musicians for drinks in the nice garden (seats will be allocated in the order sold).
I'm looking forward to seeing you on June 20th!
"The Ansonia Trio is a newly-formed trio made up of violinist Angelia Cho, cellist Laura Metcalf, and pianist Akiko Chiba.
These three young but experienced chamber musicians came together as a trio with the purpose of creating programs that engage and inspire audiences. For their New York debut at Renee Weiler Concert Hall on June 20, they will offer a unique program that highlights two sides of French composer Maurice Ravel.
The concert will open with a newly-comissioned arrangement of Ravel’s orchestral suite Le Tombeau de Couperin by New York composer MatthewVan Brink, and close with Ravel’s striking Trio in A Minor. In between, they will perform Johannes Brahms’ jubilant Trio in C Major, Op. 87".
