Airi Yoshioka, violin, John Novacek, piano and Wendy Salkind, actress present Dreams, the third and final concert of the season, on March 24 @ 8pm.

The evening’s program is set to include the world premieres of Beth Anderson’s Archaic Tale for violin and piano; Errollyn Wallen’s Park Slope for violin and piano; and Anna Rubin’s And Everything Goes Bee! for amplified voice, violin and fixed media; and, the the New York premiere of Laura Kaminsky’s Music for Thelma for violin and piano. Other works include Rebecca Schack’s Pulse for violin and tape; Tania León’s Abanico for violin and interactive computer, Linda Dusman’s magnificat 3: lament for violin and fixed media; Gabriela Lena Frank’s Sueños de Chambi: Snapshots for an Andean Album for violin and piano; and Errollyn Wallen’s For Airi for solo violin.

March 2010 marks the the seventh annual presentation of Women’s Work, a series dedicated to women composers hosted by renowned American composer Beth Anderson and produced by Greenwich House Arts. With works chosen by the presenting ensembles and performers, the 2010 season will explore recent flute, vocal, and chamber music by prominent contemporary women composers from Asia, the Americas and Europe.
