On March 10, Mary Au, piano; Jordan James, horn; Arietha Lockhart, soprano; Berkeley A. Price, clarinet; and Mara Waldman, narrator present Faces of Eve with works by Adrienne Albert, Lera Auerbach, Mary Lynn Place Badarak, Margaret Bonds, Mary M. Boyle, Lydia Busler-Blais, Chen Yi, Thea Musgrave, Deon Nielsen Price, Sharon J. Willis, and Carol Worthey. Six world premieres, four New York premieres, and one American premiere shall be presented. Seven of the composers shall discuss their work.

This performance will be held at Renee Weiler Concert Hall [MAP], which is located at 46 Barrow Street, NYC (between Seventh Ave. South and Bedford Street). Call (212) 242-4770 for info.

March 2010 marks the the seventh annual presentation of Women’s Work, a series dedicated to women composers hosted by renowned American composer Beth Anderson and produced by Greenwich House Arts. With works chosen by the presenting ensembles and performers, the 2010 season will explore recent flute, vocal, and chamber music by prominent contemporary women composers from Asia, the Americas and Europe. Performances will take place at Renee Weiler Concert Hall on 3 Wednesdays in March: 03, 10, 24 at 8pm.
